We, in West Michigan, are very blessed to have such a great advocate in our backyard. Gerald R. Ford International Airport was the first airport in the United States to be looped for the hearing impaired. The next time you are at the our local airport put your hearing instrument on your tele-coil, you will be able to hear all the announcements over the PA system clearer than your normal hearing companions. Additionally many churches and auditoriums in West Michigan have been looped, look for the blue ear hearing loop installed signs to be able to use your hearing instruments in t- coil mode.
